Meet Tami Poortman, BS CPTS
Tami is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. She holds a BS in Exercise Sport Science with a minor in Sports Nutrition. She was very athletic in school, played varsity soccer in college and was on the dance team, as well as played and sang in a band.
After college, Tami competed in professional body building and holds the title of Ms. Florida Super Natural 1995. She is a professional choreographer for fitness, and body building contests. She became a certified professional exercise specialist in 1993 through the American College of Sports Medicine. She is certified to perform sub maximal stress testing and is an exercise testing specialist. She is also a master instructor for the American Red Cross. Tami is certified to teach CPR, AED and Lay Responder.
Tami has always had a passion for fitness and started coordinating in group exercise programs and personal training in a fitness club right out of college. She is multi-certified and credentialed.
Tami has been personal training clients for over 17 years. She trains all levels of fitness from de-conditioned and physical limitations to athletes. Sports specific training will make you better at your favorite sport, whether you are competing of just doing it for fun.
Her interests include pilates, snow boarding, dogs, singing in a band, traveling and hiking.
